It’s come to my attention recently that a good friend of mine, Episkopi, has been informed that there are people selling prints of his Mane 6 wallpaper on eBay. There are several listings from different sellers. There is one here and here. These are just the ones that we have discovered.

Copyright infringement is a really tricky subject and I know that this image has been put up without his permission (for free) on wallpaper websites and the like, but these people are making money off of his artwork. This is NOT ok. And while we can’t do anything to report it, he has to do it himself and plans to, we can at least spread the word to not buy from these people. Make sure that they don’t get any business from any of us for taking someone else’s creation for their own profit.

Plenty of companies and individuals have done this, and I for one am sick of seeing it happen. It’s part of the reason a lot of my stuff on dA isn’t downloadable and has a watermark on it. I don’t want anyone using my artwork to make money off of. If anyone should be making money from artwork, it should be the creator. They get to choose how to market and sell their work. Would you want someone making money off of your creation?

So PLEASE spread the word not to buy from these people.
